Dellem LLC (formerly Dellem Associates, Inc.) was established in October 1980 and has been in business over 30 years
What is your primary product or service?
Provide Aviation Fuel Management services to various airlines worldwide - Provide an experienced outsourced Fuel Department. Also provide Consulting on all aspects of Aviation Fuel including Contamination Detection and resolution; Quality Control including Procedure development and training; Fuel facility design, construction, inspection and operational procedures development.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Dellem founder and owner (Larry Weaver, Sr) spent over 15 years with the Aviation Sales Department of Texaco and was Manager of Worldwide Operations when Dellem was established. With Texaco we saw airlines and FBO's that did not have the expertise for their operations and established Dellem to furnish them our expertise. After 30 years of successful business, it appears as though this assessment was correct.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Dellem provides pure Aviation Fuel Management. Most other companies advertising as Fuel Management companies buy and sell aviation fuels as their primary business. We feel this is a conflict of interest as they are conflicting their desire to maximize return on fuel sales while professing to be obtaining low prices for the airline client. Dellem DOES NOT buy or sell any fuel other than for the account of the client. Dellem provides a complete and experienced Fuel Department performing all functions for and in the name of the airline client.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Dellem headquarters are in Tampa, FL and other than an associate based near Toronto, Canada, all functions are performed directly from Tampa, Florida.
