Managing volunteers to help the needs of the community.
Seniors in Service manages the Foster Grandparent, Senior Companion and RSVP Programs. These programs engage 55+ adults as volunteers. Foster Grandparents work alongside teachers to tutor and mentor at-risk children to help them succeed in school. Senior Companions provide homemaker assistance and companionship to elders so they can remain in their homes for as long as possible. RSVP volunteers use their skills or talents in short-term projects to help the community.
